(Full-time & Part-time available)

New Painter (0-3 years of experience), $13-$15 hourly

Experienced Painter (3-7 years of experience), $16-$20 hourly

Master Painter (7+ years of qualified experience), $20-$25 hourly

Education

• High School Diploma, GED or life equivalent

Requirements

• 18 years or older

• Driver’s license in good standing

• Reliable transportation

• Unrestricted access to military installations and facilities occupied by minors

Shift and Schedule

• Availability and willingness to arrive on time and work the entire shift

• Typically 7:30a – 3:30p (fluctuates per project)

• Monday – Friday (sometimes Saturdays)

• No night work

• Occasional, short-term, out-of-town regional work

Job Locations

• Various locations in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa and Baldwin Counties

• Commute time ranges from 15 minutes – one hour

• Personal vehicle use with mileage reimbursement

Full Job Description

PAINTER
Summary:
Positions open for New, Experienced and Master Painters for commercial and residential (interior & exterior) painting.

Essential Duties:

• Make on-site preparations such as covering fixtures, etc.

• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, repairing drywall, etc.

• Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster)

• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools

• Apply varnish and other finishes

• Perform paint prep, repairs, and painting in a timely and efficient manner as assigned by daily work orders

• Use preventive maintenance to maintain equipment and tools as assigned

• Maintain a clean and safe work site with clean up

• Perform other reasonable duties, functions, and special projects as assigned

Essential Skills:

• Ability to perform basic math

• Manual dexterity and balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.

• Work as a team member, using time wisely and efficiently, and with respect to other team members

• Be conscientious with attention to detail

• Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques (Painter & Master Painter)

• Aptitude in using trade equipment and tools (Painter & Master Painter)

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds

• Ability to stand/walk for entire shift

• Ability to safely work above ground level, climb and use various types of ladders, stairs, and lifts

• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and articulate

• Ability to work in outside, inclement weather conditions
